An armoured door is a high security door whose whole structure is made of steel: the leaf is built from metal sections and sheets, so is the frame, and everything is firmly anchored into the wall. On the outside it may have a timber panel that makes it look like an ordinary door.
It differs from a security door in that the latter has a timber leaf with steel sheeting inside, whereas in an armoured door the steel is the skeleton. That is why it is much heavier, has high security locks and fitting one is a different job altogether.
We do not sell or fit armoured doors, but we do open them when there is no other way in, always looking for the least damaging method, and we work on their cylinder and lock. If you have one that will not open, see armoured door opening.
