A door is only as strong as its weakest part. It can have a good lock and still give way because the cylinder sticks out, because the hinges can be removed from outside or because the frame yields to a lever. This family brings together the jobs that reinforce the door you already have, without needing to replace it completely.
Start with a check
Before buying anything it is worth looking at the door calmly. In a home security upgrade we check the cylinder, the lock, the hinges, the frame and the most exposed windows or shutters. Then we tell you what we would change first and what can wait. Sometimes an escutcheon and a better cylinder are enough; at other times the weak point is somewhere else.
Escutcheons
The escutcheon is the plate that protects the cylinder on the outside. A good security escutcheon stops the cylinder from being gripped and snapped, which is one of the quickest ways of opening a door. It is a simple job that makes a real difference.
Hinges and reinforcement
On doors that open outwards, or with exposed hinges, anti-jemmy hinges stop the door leaf from being removed even if the hinge pins are cut. Door reinforcement covers other points: frames that give, edges of soft wood, loose strike plates. We choose it to suit the door, not as a fixed package.
Empty homes and squatters
In Torrevieja and on the coast there are many houses that stay closed for months. An empty home is more vulnerable and it should be obvious that it is protected: a good cylinder, an escutcheon, a deadbolt and, on the ground floor, reinforced shutters. We explain it in squatter protection. If you have already recovered possession of the property, we also do the lock change.
How to ask for it
Send us on WhatsApp a photo of the door from outside, another of the cylinder and another of the hinges. We tell you what is fine and what is missing, and we give you a fixed quote before we come. You pay when we finish by card, Bizum or cash.
