Being locked out is one of the most annoying things that can happen at home, and it usually happens at the worst moment: at night, with your hands full of shopping or with the baby inside. This family covers all the door openings we do, from a flat door slammed shut to a shop shutter that will not go up or the storeroom whose key nobody can find.
First, without breaking anything
Most doors can be opened without damage. A door that has closed on the latch only, without being locked with the key, can usually be opened quickly and without touching the lock. When the door is locked with the key or it is a security door with several locking points, the job is more delicate and sometimes the cylinder has to be sacrificed. In that case we tell you beforehand and replace it there and then so that you are not left with a door that will not lock.
We explain it in detail in door opening and, for higher-security doors, in security door opening.
Every door is different
In Torrevieja and along the coast we see a bit of everything. Flats with a security door, bungalows with an aluminium door onto the terrace, shops with a roller shutter, communal garages and storerooms. A wooden door with a lever lock does not open the same way as an aluminium door with a hook lock. That is why each case has its own page.
If the key has snapped inside, do not try to get it out with tweezers or put glue in: you almost always push the broken piece further in. See how we do it in broken key extraction.
Before opening, we check
Before opening any door we check that the person asking has the right to go in. We ask you just as we would ask anyone, because it is what protects you when you are not there. When you call we explain how to prove it.
A quote before we start
On WhatsApp, with a photo of the door and the cylinder, we can give you a fixed quote before we set off. If the job turns out to be different from what could be seen when we arrive, we let you know and do not carry on unless you agree. You pay by card, Bizum or cash.
If someone is locked inside and there is any risk, call 112 first and then let us know.
