A motorised shutter is a roller shutter that goes up and down with an electric motor housed inside the axle, instead of with a strap. It is operated by a switch on the wall, a remote control or a timer.
It is convenient for large windows, heavy shutters and houses where nobody is around to raise and lower them. It has no strap or strap winder, and the shutter box usually has an electrical connection.
You should know this: we do not repair or install shutter motors. If the motor fails, you need a motor technician. If your question is about the security of the shutter, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it can be reinforced. It is all explained in shutter security.
