A garage remote control is a small radio transmitter that, when you press a button, sends a signal to the receiver of the automatic door so that it opens or closes. It is the usual way into the communal garages of the residential developments in Torrevieja and la Vega Baja.

There are two main types. Fixed code remotes always send the same signal and can be copied from a remote that works. Rolling code remotes change the signal each time you press, are more secure and the new remote often has to be registered on the garage receiver.

If the remote starts playing up, try changing the battery first. And if you lose it, let the community know. We copy garage remotes: from a photo we can tell you whether yours can be copied, in garage remote duplication.

Questions that mention it

Do you copy remote controls for the communal garage?

Yes. With a photo of the front and back of the remote we can tell you whether it copies directly or needs a step at the receiver. We do not repair motors or garage doors. Read the full answer
