El Raso is an inland urbanisation in Guardamar del Segura, south of the town and on the way to Torrevieja. You reach it along the CV-895 and it is well connected with Guardamar, Ciudad Quesada and Torrevieja, with the salt lagoons very close by. It is not on the seafront: to get to the beach you take the car or the bike.

A recent, planned urbanisation

At the end of the nineties this was farmland, and there are still orange and lemon trees around it. The urbanisation was laid out between 1999 and 2002, with streets, lighting and drainage put in before building, and since then it has gradually filled up. There are still new builds going up.
