An anti-lift shutter is one that, once lowered, cannot be raised from outside. It may come like that from the factory or be achieved by adding a system to the shutter you already have.
The most common methods are anti-lift springs inside the shutter box, anti-lift bolts on the bottom slat and pins that go into the floor or the sill.
Stopping it going up is half the problem. The other half is stopping the bottom slat from bending, because once bent it comes out of the guide rails even if the curtain does not go up. Our shutter security system solves both: a 4 mm steel T-profile on the bottom slat and bolts locking into the wall at both ends.
