A burglary, robo con fuerza in Spanish, is a theft in which force is used on property to get in or take something: breaking a lock, forcing a door, lifting a shutter or making a hole. It is different from simple theft, where nothing is forced.

The difference matters. For the police report and for many home insurance policies, showing that force was used is usually key, and that shows in the marks on the door, the lock cylinder or the shutter.

If it happens to you, call the police first and do not touch the door until they have been. Then we check the lock, photograph every mark and give you a forced lock report. We leave the house secure with a new lock cylinder or a replacement lock, with a fixed quote.
