A chip key is one that, as well as its mechanical cuts, has an electronic circuit in its head that the system has to recognise. Without that recognition, the key may turn but it will not open or start anything.
It is standard in modern cars, and it also turns up in some electronic locking systems in buildings. From the outside it can look like an ordinary key, with a slightly thicker plastic head.
We do not work with vehicle keys or with electronic or smart locks, and we do not make copies or duplicates. If what you have is the door of a home or business premises with a mechanical cylinder and you want more security, a high security lock cylinder with a protected key is a better fit.
