A roller door is one made of interlocking slats that, as it goes up, roll round a barrel fitted above the opening. It is the system used on shop roller shutters and many garages, because when open it takes up no space either in front or inside.
It can be manual, with springs on the barrel that balance the weight so it can be lifted by hand, or motorised. The slats come down guided by two side rails and, on manual ones, the door locks with a lock at the bottom or in the centre that secures it against the floor or the guide rails.
If the lock has seized or you have lost the key, we open it. What we do not do is fit or repair garage doors or their motors. There is more in garage and storeroom opening.
