Yes, and it is often the best option. We wait until the police have examined the door and, when they allow it, we repair it or secure it.
It is common with burglaries and attempted burglaries at night: the police do their job and you do not want to be left with the door open. Coordinating it properly avoids losing evidence.
What is worth doing:
- Call the police first and then us.
- Tell us the police are at the house, so we know when we arrive.
- Do not touch the lock until the officers have seen it.
- Ask the officers for the details for the police report.
The presence of the police does not replace the check that you have the right to enter: we deal with it just as we always do, and we explain how when you call. We work 24 hours a day. More information in emergencies.
