What if the door is locked with the key?

Then the opening depends mainly on the cylinder. Many doors locked with the key open without damage, although it takes more work than a door that has only slammed shut, because besides the latch the lock’s bolts are thrown.

With a standard cylinder, the usual thing is to open without breaking anything. With a security cylinder, which is designed to withstand manipulation, sometimes there is no option but a destructive opening: the cylinder is broken in a controlled way, the door is opened and a new one is fitted there and then. The door and the lock are not touched.

Before we break anything we explain it to you and give you the fixed quote, including the new cylinder. That way you know from the start how you will be left. More in door opening.
