Yes. We open patio doors, sliding doors and aluminium or uPVC doors, whether they have shut with the key inside or the lock has jammed.
They are different from a wooden door. The profile is narrow, the lock is a very tight fit and many have a multipoint lock, which locks at several points at once. You have to work carefully so as not to bend the profile or touch the glass.
On the coast these doors take a real beating: salt, sand and sun all year round. It is common for the lock to seize up or for the sliding door to drop off its track so it no longer lines up. If this happens to you, do not force it, because aluminium bends easily.
It is all explained in aluminium and uPVC door opening.
