Are materials included in the quote?

Yes. The fixed quote includes the materials that need fitting, such as the cylinder, the lock or the escutcheon, and the labour.

We also tell you which model we are fitting and why. That way you can compare with other quotes using real information and not just the amount. If there are two options, for example a basic cylinder and a higher security one, we give you the price of each and you choose.

What is worth asking about any quote:

• Exactly which part is being fitted and what range it is from.
• Whether the amount includes everything or materials are extra.
• Whether you keep the old part, in case you need it for the insurer.

If, when it is taken apart, it turns out another part is needed, we tell you before carrying on. Ask for your quote with a photo of what needs changing.
