Do you open shops and premises outside opening hours?

Yes. We work 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including at night, on Sundays and on bank holidays.

It is often needed first thing in the morning, when the manager arrives and the key will not turn, or in the small hours, when a bar is closing up and the shutter will not come down. In those cases the priority is for the business to be able to open, or to be left shut and secure.

Before opening any premises we check that the person asking has the right to enter. We explain how that is shown when you call; if you are an employee and not the owner, tell us from the start and we will sort it out. We give you the fixed quote before we start, at night too.

If the lock or the cylinder needs changing after the opening, we do it on the same visit if possible. You can read more in opening shops and businesses.

What do I do if my shop’s metal roller shutter will not go up?

Do not force it. Check that the lock is fully open and that nothing is blocking the guide rails; if it still will not go up, it is usually the axle spring or a slat out of its rail. Read the full answer

Can the lock on a metal roller shutter be changed?

Yes. The lock, or just the cylinder, is changed without touching the rest of the shutter. It may be a floor, central or side lock; a photo shows us which one you have and what fits. Read the full answer
