An anti-pull cylinder, also called an anti-extraction cylinder, is reinforced so that it cannot be ripped out of the door by pulling on it. Pulling is an attack that aims to drag out or break the cylinder by force, leaving the lock at the intruder’s mercy.

To prevent it, these cylinders have internal steel bars that strengthen the body and parts that harden the front, so that the tool cannot get a grip or the cylinder does not give way.

The protection is completed by two details that depend on the installation: the cylinder must not stick out beyond the escutcheon, and the escutcheon must be a security one, with protection that stops anyone gripping the cylinder. A good cylinder that sticks out by a centimetre loses much of its advantage.

If your cylinder sticks out or you do not know whether it is anti-pull, send us a photo. We sort it out with our security cylinders.
