It is often worth repairing. Many problems are not in the lock itself but in a door that has dropped, a misaligned strike plate or a dirty cylinder, and they are fixed without changing anything.
It is repaired when:
- The door rubs or is hard to lock because the frame has moved.
- The key is stiff because of dirt or salt air.
- The latch does not catch properly in the strike plate.
It is worth replacing when:
- There are broken parts inside the lock case.
- It has been forced and left damaged.
- It is an old lever lock that gives little protection.
Our way of working is to check first and tell you what is wrong. If an adjustment fixes it, we tell you. And the quote is fixed before we start. It is all in lock repair.
