Yes. In most cases it can be opened without breaking the shutter: the job is to find where the jam is and free it.
What usually jams it:
- The lock, which will not release the bolts because it has seized or broken.
- A slat that has come out of the guide rail and wedged itself.
- The axle or the spring, when the shutter does not have the strength to go up.
While we are on our way, do not use crowbars or pull hard on the shutter: a bent slat makes the opening much harder. If it is a motorised shutter, try the manual release if you know how to use it; we do not repair motors, but we do open the shutter if the problem is mechanical.
Before opening we check that you have the right to enter the premises. Once it is open, we tell you what failed and give you a fixed quote to put it right. More information in opening roller shutters.
