Lock replacement in San Fulgencio

San Fulgencio has around 9,800 inhabitants according to the INE and two centres: the village and La Marina, the municipality’s large urbanisation. In La Marina there is a lot of resale buying and selling, and each house may have passed through several owners before reaching you. In the village, on the other hand, the reason for replacing the lock is usually wear. From Torrevieja it is about twenty kilometres and we work in both places.

Buying in La Marina

When you buy a villa or a bungalow in La Marina, El Oasis or Monte Victoria, you are handed some keys, but you do not know how many more there are. The previous owner, their relatives, a tenant, the agency, whoever watered the garden. The sensible thing is to change at least the cylinder on the front door. If the lock is years old, has play in it or struggles to throw the bolts, it is better to replace it entirely.

Many houses have several outside doors: front, terrace, kitchen, gate. Go over all of them, not just the main one. If you end up with several new locks, they can be made to open with the same key.

Village houses

In the centre of San Fulgencio there are village houses and flats with wooden doors and locks that are decades old. Wear is the usual story: tired springs, bolts that do not come all the way out, broken parts inside the lock case. The coast next door
