Lock cylinder replacement in San Fulgencio

La Marina has lots of buying and selling and many houses with several doors. The village, cylinders with years on them. Either way, the new cylinder is fitted to size.

San Fulgencio, about twenty kilometres from Torrevieja, has two sides to it: the farming village, with its traditional houses and flats, and the La Marina urbanisation, with areas such as El Oasis, Monte Victoria or El Oral. The municipality has around 9,800 residents. We are locksmiths from Torrevieja and we change lock cylinders in both.

Buying in La Marina

A great many resale houses are bought and sold in La Marina. A house that has had several owners, or that has been let, may have copies of the key scattered around that nobody remembers. The advisable thing is to change the cylinder as soon as you receive the keys. If you find it easier to explain things in your own language, message us on WhatsApp in it.

Lots of doors, one key

A villa in La Marina usually has a front door, a terrace or kitchen door onto the garden, a gate and sometimes a garage or tool shed. If you change the cylinders at the same time, we can fit cylinders that all open with the same key. We explain this in keyed alike cylinders.

After a burglary attempt

In houses left empty for part of the year, the owner sometimes comes back to find the cylinder scratched, snapped or spinning freely. If that is your case, contact the Guardia Civil first and do not touch anything. Then we change the cylinder so you can lock up that same night and explain how to strengthen the door. You have the steps in broken or forced cylinder.

For the front door of a single storey house that is left empty, we recommend a security cylinder that does not stick out of the door. If it sticks out, it is easier to grip and snap from outside.

The village: cylinders with many years on them

In the centre of San Fulgencio we mainly see wear. Cylinders that no longer turn smoothly, keys that have to be wiggled to go in and locks that are decades old. If a door has a big-key lock with no cylinder, it has to be converted to a euro cylinder before the keys can be changed; we explain how. In the village shops we also change the cylinder on the premises door.

How we do it

  1. You send us a photo of the cylinder from outside and another of the edge of the door.
  2. We suggest the cylinder and give you a fixed quote, with the cylinder included.
  3. At your door we check the exact size and fit the new one.
  4. We test every lock and hand you the keys.

If the size or the job changes once we see it, we tell you before carrying on. If the house was let, the change is made once the property has been handed back, never on a tenant who is still living there. You can pay by card, Bizum or cash.
