Locksmith in Jacarilla

Jacarilla is a small inland town in the Vega Baja, about a kilometre from the river Segura. It borders Orihuela, Bigastro and Benejúzar, and you reach it from Orihuela along the N-340 and then the CV-920. The INE gives it around 2,200 inhabitants. From Torrevieja it is about thirty kilometres, crossing the district to the west.

A quiet inland town

Jacarilla is a town with a quiet way of life, where neighbours know each other, with village houses in the centre and homes and country estates in the surrounding countryside. It also has foreign residents, and among them the British community has been the largest. If you find it easier, write to us on WhatsApp in your own language and we will reply in it.

Far from the beach atmosphere, what counts most here is not the seasonal home but the long-standing main home and the country houses.

What the homes are like in Jacarilla

What we are asked for most in Jacarilla

Moving from a lever lock to a cylinder

In the long-established houses there are still many old big-key locks. They are easy to open and the keys are increasingly hard to replace. The usual solution is to change them for locks that take a European-profile cylinder, keeping the door when it is sound. We explain it under converting a lever lock to a cylinder lock.

A new lock cylinder

If you have lost the keys, if the house is inherited and there are copies all over the family or if you have just bought, lock cylinder replacement is the simplest way to know who can get in.

Door opening

You leave the key inside, the door slams shut in the draught or the key snaps. We open without causing damage whenever the lock allows it and we tell you beforehand how we are going to do it. More details under door opening.

Shutters at street level

In single-storey village houses, every window looks onto the street or the patio. With shutter reinforcement we reinforce shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent, with a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts at each end that lock into the wall. With a photo on WhatsApp we can tell you whether yours can be reinforced.

Country houses and estates

In the countryside around Jacarilla there are more remote houses and storehouses that go for days or weeks with nobody there. For these doors we suggest what really holds out: security deadbolts on the inside face, tougher locks for metal doors, reinforcement for old wooden doors or grilles on low windows. Before we suggest anything, you send us photos and we tell you what is worthwhile.

Wooden doors and changes in the weather

The wooden doors of old houses feel the cold and damp of winter and the heat of summer. They swell, shrink and end up rubbing or knocking the latch out of square. Before thinking about replacing the door, it is often enough to adjust it along with the lock.

How we work

First we give you a fixed quote; the quickest way is to send a photo on WhatsApp. If the job turns out to be different when we arrive, we explain it to you and do not carry on without your agreement. You can pay by card, Bizum or cash. Before opening any door, we check that the person asking has the right to enter.

T-profile shutter security

We reinforce roller shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent.
