The most effective way is to fit a protected key cylinder at the entrance, whose copies can only be made by showing the ownership card.
This is how it works:
- The community, through the president or the property manager, keeps the card.
- Anyone who needs a new key asks the community, which orders it with the card.
- A simple list is kept of how many keys there are and who has each one.
With an ordinary key, any resident or tenant can have copies made anywhere and, within a few years, nobody knows how many there are. On urbanisations with a lot of holiday letting this happens very quickly.
We do not cut keys, but we do fit the protected cylinder and combine it with a master key if the community wants one. We explain it in master key systems.
