Locksmith in Aguamarina (Orihuela Costa)

Aguamarina is a seafront urbanisation in Orihuela Costa, south of Cabo Roig and on the way to Dehesa de Campoamor; some property listings already place it in the Campoamor area. It has its own beach, Aguamarina beach, and many complexes with direct access to the coastal promenade that runs along this part of the coast, with coves just a step away.

Living right by the water

The homes are mainly apartments and duplexes on complexes with a communal pool, gardens and, in some cases, padel courts and a barbecue area, alongside townhouses and the odd villa. Many are used as second homes or let in summer and, as along the whole Orihuela coast, there are many foreigners among the owners.

Being on the seafront has a direct consequence for us: the sea air arrives laden with salt all year round. Lock cylinders, terrace door locks, hinges and the fittings on aluminium doors suffer more than they do a couple of kilometres inland.

Keys inside the apartment

Going down to the pool or the beach and leaving the door shut with the key inside is one of the most common things in summer. The first thing is to see whether someone in the community has a copy; if not, we tell you what to do under keys locked inside the house. We open without causing damage whenever the lock allows it, and we first check that you have the right to enter.

Locks that seize up with the salt air

A seafront lock needs attention every so often. With lock maintenance we clean and lubricate with suitable products, check the lock cylinder and warn you about any parts that are already on their way out before they leave you locked out. If the house is going to stay shut for months, this is the ideal moment.

Owners who do not speak Spanish

Many residents of Aguamarina are foreign residents. Write to us on WhatsApp in your own language, with a photo of the door or the lock, and we will reply with the quote. If you are outside Spain, we coordinate the job with whoever looks after your home.

A fixed quote

The quote is given before we start and does not change without telling you. If, when we arrive, we see something else is needed, we explain it and you decide. You pay by card, Bizum or cash. Ground floor shutters can also be reinforced so they cannot be lifted or bent.
