Lomas de Cabo Roig is the area that stretches out behind Cabo Roig, on the other side of the coast road and about two kilometres from the beaches. In many listings it appears together with Los Dolses, because the two areas touch and get mixed up. It is inland, quieter than the seafront and with everything you need day to day close at hand, including a recently built shopping centre.
What the area is like
Until the early sixties this was practically countryside. Then, one after another, dozens of different urbanisations sprang up: modern apartments, townhouses, bungalows and a few luxury villas. Most characteristic are the complexes with a communal pool and gardens, with ground floor bungalows that have their own small patio and upper floor bungalows with a solarium.
There are several golf courses a short drive away, which attracts owners from northern Europe who come for a season. There are also new builds: developments of bungalows and apartments are still being completed.
What we are asked for in Lomas de Cabo Roig
A ground floor bungalow with the shutter at patio level
A ground floor bungalow has its bedroom and living room windows within anyone’s reach from the patio or the communal area. If it also stands shut for weeks, the shutter is the first thing worth reinforcing. We tell you about it under shutter reinforcement for ground floor homes and bungalows: we reinforce shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent, with a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts that lock into the wall.
Keys for the complex
On a complex every resident needs to open their own home, the gate, the pool and, if there is one, the garage. With master key systems everyone opens what is theirs with a single key and the community keeps one key that opens the communal areas. It is set up in one go and avoids bunches of keys handed out everywhere.
New builds and resales
When you take delivery of a new home, the keys have passed through the developer, the workers and the estate agent. In a resale, through the previous owner and whoever rented it. In both cases lock cylinder replacement in Orihuela Costa makes sense as soon as you are handed the keys.
A quote before we touch anything
The quickest way is to send us a photo of the lock or the shutter on WhatsApp. We give you a fixed quote and, if on site we see something different, we let you know before carrying on. You pay by card, Bizum or cash, and you can write to us in your own language.
