Locksmith in Dehesa de Campoamor (Orihuela Costa)

Dehesa de Campoamor is the last urbanisation of Orihuela Costa to the south, between Cabo Roig and Mil Palmeras, right next to Pilar de la Horadada. The name has a history: this land was the Dehesa de Matamoros and in 1854 it was bought by the poet Ramón de Campoamor, who gave it his surname.

An urbanisation of villas

The modern urbanisation got going with a tourism development plan presented in 1965, linked to the yacht club that today has its marina in the area. Unlike other parts of the coast, detached homes dominate here: houses and villas on their own plot, often with a pool, on quiet streets with green spaces. There are also apartment complexes and townhouses, but the general character is that of a house with a garden.

It is a long-standing beach and holiday area. For much of the year many houses are shut, with Spanish owners who come in summer and foreigners who spend their seasons here.
