БългарскиLa Florida is a large urbanisation in Orihuela Costa, inland from Playa Flamenca and around Villamartín, with La Zenia and Cabo Roig a short distance away. Some count it as part of Playa Flamenca and others as part of Villamartín; what is clear is that it is one of the most populated areas of the coast: in the Orihuela municipal register it appears among the localities with the most registered residents, ahead of better-known places.
Less postcard, more neighbourhood
That is what sets it apart from the seafront. In La Florida there are many registered residents who live here all year round, alongside foreign owners who come for a season. The homes are mainly bungalows, townhouses and apartments, many on complexes with a communal pool, on residential streets without the tourist bustle of the coast.
