A shop lives by opening on time. If the metal shutter will not go up in the morning, the key will not go into the lock or the glass door has jammed, every hour with the shutter down is an hour without sales. And at night it is the other way round: you need the premises properly locked, with nobody able to lift the shutter.
What tends to fail in a shop
- The lock on the metal shutter seizes up, especially in premises near the sea, where salty air and sand get into the mechanism.
- The shutter has dropped, rubs in the guides or has got stuck halfway.
- The aluminium and glass shopfront door will not close or the cylinder is worn.
- An employee who had a key has left and you want that key to stop working.
- Someone has tried to force the shutter or the door during the night.
Services that suit your business
If you cannot get in, we carry out the opening of shops and businesses, taking care not to damage the shutter or the door. Before opening, we check that you have the right to enter the premises; we explain how you show this when you call.
For metal shutters we carry out metal shutter repair on manual shutters: guides, slats, axle, springs and lock. If the lock is what fails, we replace it with one of the locks for metal shutters that suits yours, and if you want more protection we add a second locking point.
Shopfront doors use narrow stile locks. For those we have locks for aluminium and uPVC and an upgrade of the cylinder to a security one. When an employee leaves or a key is lost, lock cylinder replacement is the quick solution.
We do not work on shutter motors. If your shutter is motorised and the fault is in the motor, we will tell you when we see the photo; if the problem is mechanical, such as a slat, a guide or the lock, we can deal with it.
How we organise the work
The quickest way is to send us a photo of the shutter or the lock and the address of the premises on WhatsApp. We give you a fixed quote before we start, and if anything changes when we check it on site, we tell you and do not carry on unless you agree.
We make out the invoice in your business’s name, whether you are self-employed or a company, with its tax details. You can pay by card, Bizum or cash.
If the call-out is urgent, we work 24 hours a day, every day, in high season too, when having your premises shut hurts most. If it is not urgent, we find the time that suits you best, before opening or after closing, so the door is not blocked while customers are inside.
Tips to make your shutter last
- Clean the guides from time to time and do not let sand build up at the bottom.
- Do not force the key if the shutter lock is stiff. Use a dry lubricant or ask us to check it.
- Do not leave the shutter half raised for hours. The springs suffer and it ends up dropping.
- If someone has had a key and no longer works with you, change the cylinder as soon as possible.
