In a business, locks are not just about the front door. There are offices, filing rooms, stores, equipment rooms and, often, people coming and going every day with their own key. When staff change or a bunch of keys goes missing, the question is always the same: who can open what.
What businesses usually need
- Each employee opening only the doors that concern them, without carrying a fistful of keys.
- A key that has been lost or not returned to stop working as soon as possible.
- Offices and the filing room to be lockable.
- The front door to close by itself and not be left open at the end of the day.
- Someone to check the locks now and then, before one fails with the office full.
Services that suit a business
Master keying is the basis for organising an office. A locking plan is drawn up: each key opens its own area, managers have a key that opens several areas and the management has a master key that opens everything. If a key is lost, only what it opened needs dealing with.
For staff changes or mislaid keys, lock cylinder replacement is the quickest option. The old keys stop working and the door stays exactly as it was.
Offices, meeting rooms or the filing room often have passage locks with no key. With the right interior door locks, they can be locked with a key without changing the door.
If the main door slams or stays open, door closer installation solves it, and with regular lock maintenance the locks, cylinders, door closers and hinges are checked so there are no surprises.
What we do not do
We work with mechanical locksmithing. We do not install access control, electronic locks, video entry systems or panic bars, and we do not cut copies of keys. If your office has any of those, we will tell you so you can take it up with the right people.
How we organise the work
- Before we start, we give you a fixed quote in writing that you can pass on to whoever has to approve it.
- If the job changes when we check it on site, we tell you and do not carry on without your agreement.
- The invoice is made out to the company, with its registered name and tax details.
- Payment can be by card, Bizum or cash.
- If it is not urgent, we do the work outside office hours so as not to interrupt; if it is urgent, we work 24 hours a day, every day.
To get started, send us photos of the doors and locks on WhatsApp, how many people need a key and what each one should open. With that we prepare the plan and the quote.
A tip for organising your keys
Keep a simple record of who has each key and ask for it back when someone leaves the company. With a master key system that control is much easier, because each key has its purpose and you know which doors are affected if one is lost.
