Locksmith for auction properties and banks

We open and change the locks on homes and premises awarded at auction or owned by banks once the owner has possession, and we leave them protected.

Locksmith for auction properties and banks

Anyone who is awarded a home at auction, or the bank that recovers a property, often finds the same thing: a door with no keys, a lock that nobody knows who else can open and a house that has been empty for some time. The first thing to do, as soon as possession has been obtained, is to get in and change the lock.

When we step in

We work for auction buyers, banks, companies that manage their properties, lawyers and court representatives (procuradores). The condition is always the same: the owner must already have possession of the property, either because the court has handed it over or because the home is unoccupied and the owner can show their right to it. Before opening, we check that right; we explain how it is shown when you call.

If the home is occupied, by squatters or by anyone else, we do not open or change anything. That situation can only be resolved through the legal route, and we come in once the owner recovers possession. We explain this on the page about a home with squatters. Nor do we give legal advice: that is what your lawyer or your procurador is for.

Services that fit

If possession is handed over at a court eviction, we attend on the day and at the time set for the lock change after the eviction. We open the door when the court officials tell us to, change the cylinder or the lock and hand the new keys to the owner.

If the home is already empty and there are no keys, we carry out the door opening, trying not to damage the door, and then change the cylinder, or the whole lock if it has been forced or is badly deteriorated.

While the property is waiting to be sold or renovated, it is worth protecting. Protection against squatters combines a high security cylinder, an escutcheon, a bolt and shutter reinforcement, and door reinforcement strengthens the door leaf and the frame when the door is weak.

How we organise the work

What is worth knowing in advance

A home that has been shut for a long time may have a rusty lock, a tampered cylinder or a door that has dropped. It is not unusual for more to need replacing than expected. That is why the more information and photos you give us beforehand, the more accurate the quote will be.

We are Torrevieja locksmiths with 15 years of experience and we work throughout the Vega Baja, 24 hours a day, every day.
