Calas Blancas lies north of Torrevieja’s old town, just over a kilometre from the centre, and from its streets you can walk down to Playa de los Locos. Its development plan was approved in 1974 and, according to the municipal record, more than two thirds of it is built up: it is a finished area, with little free land.
Complexes with lots of communal space
What sets Calas Blancas apart are its large residential complexes, with several communal pools, gardens and sports areas, and homes that are mainly flats and bungalows. It is a family setting, with shops, chemists and bars nearby, where year-round residents live alongside others who come for the holidays.
What we are asked for here
Communities with lots of doors
In a complex with several pools, plant rooms, storerooms and entrance halls, the number of keys is huge, and every new president inherits a bunch of them. A master key system puts all of that in order: each resident opens their own home and the communal areas, the caretaker or the administrator has a master key, and nobody else. If you run a community, have a look too at what we do for owners’ communities.
Your front door
In private homes, the call-outs are the usual ones: a lost key, a cylinder that will not turn, a door that has slammed shut. If you have just bought or rented, we recommend changing the lock cylinder on day one.
Pool gate locks
The access gates to communal pools sit in the sun and the chlorine, and their locks suffer badly. When they stop closing, the pool is left open to anyone. The best thing is to have them checked in spring, before the season starts and the pool fills up with people, not in the middle of August.
