El Acequión is right in the heart of Torrevieja, barely a kilometre from the centre, around the Acequión beach. It is a calm beach within the harbour area, between the salt pier and the marina, a stone’s throw from Playa de los Náufragos. Property portals often advertise El Acequión and Los Náufragos together.
A district of flats with everyday residents
The typical home is a flat in a building of several storeys, with a shared entrance and sometimes a garage. There are also ground-floor homes with a patio and, in recent years, new blocks of just a few flats a couple of streets from the beach, some with a rooftop pool. It is an area with lots of year-round residents, people who work in Torrevieja, and with flats on long-term lets.
Frequent jobs in El Acequión
Changing the cylinder when you move in
In a district with lots of long-term letting, flats change tenants often. If you have just rented or bought, you do not know who else has a key. Changing the cylinder is quick and gives you peace of mind. You will find it under lock cylinder replacement in Torrevieja.
Ground floors with windows onto the street
Ground floors with windows at pavement level are the most vulnerable part of the building. Shutter reinforcement for ground floors stops anyone lifting or bending the shutter: a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts at each end that lock into the wall. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether yours can be reinforced.
Rusty cylinders near the harbour
With the sea two streets away, salty damp ends up getting into the cylinders on outside doors and the padlocks on storerooms and garages. A key that goes in stiffly is a warning sign. If it jams, read the page on the key will not turn before forcing it.
How we work
We are from Torrevieja and we know the district. A fixed quote before we start, a heads-up if the job changes and payment by card, Bizum or cash.
