El Chaparral lies inland, in the west of Torrevieja, about three or four kilometres from the centre, between the town and the Laguna Rosa. Right next to La Siesta, the two form a single area for everyday life. It is a very large urbanisation, with more than a million square metres according to its planning record, approved in 1974 and built in phases. Others such as El Limonar and San Luis have grown up around it.
Low-rise houses with gardens
The urbanisation’s rules limit houses to two storeys, and it shows: there are no tall blocks. There are villas and semi-detached houses with a plot and a private pool, townhouses and bungalows in complexes with a communal pool. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a health centre are relatively close, and residents come from many countries, living here all year round or for part of the year.
What we are asked for in El Chaparral
Keys for whoever looks after the house
Many owners leave the house with a neighbour, a gardener or the person who cleans the pool while they are away. With a master key system the owner has one key that opens everything and each person only has the key for the part they need, for example the gate and the pool pump room, with no access to the home.
Garages and car ports
Villas and semis often have a garage or car port with its own door. If you lose the key or the lock jams, we carry out garage and storeroom opening. We open them, but we do not install or repair garage doors or motors.
Shutters on villas and bungalows
Single or two-storey houses, with lots of windows onto the garden. We reinforce shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent, with a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts locked into the wall. More details under shutter reinforcement.
