Locksmith in San Luis (Torrevieja)

San Luis is on the west side of the Torrevieja municipality, about five kilometres from the centre, next to the road to Benijófar and very close to the shore of the Laguna Rosa. Its development plan was approved in 1975 and was tied to the last phases of El Chaparral, which it borders. It is a quiet area of nature and lagoon, a little removed from the bustle of the coast.

Villas with plots and townhouses

Detached villas with a plot and a private pool are the norm in San Luis, along with townhouses and end-of-terrace houses. It is an urbanisation of low-rise houses, with no tall buildings, with year-round residents and owners who come for part of the year.

Front doors that fall short

On a detached house, with garden all round and neighbours some distance away, the front door has to hold. Many have simple single-point locks. Replacing them with a multipoint lock, which locks at the top, middle and bottom at once, is one of the upgrades that gives the most peace of mind.

Gates

The villa gate is out in the weather all year. The locks rust, the latch stops going in and the strike plate comes loose. We repair or replace them, and if you are locked out we open without damage whenever possible.

Shutters on single-storey houses

On single-storey villas, every window is at garden level. We reinforce shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent, with a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts at each end that lock into the wall. You will find it under shutter reinforcement in Torrevieja.

Houses left empty for long spells

If you are going away for a few months, check the locks and shutters first and only leave the keys with someone you trust. We tell you more under second homes.
