El Salado is on the west side of Torrevieja, about three kilometres from the centre, in the band of urbanisations that stretches between the old town and the Laguna Rosa. Property portals often advertise it together with La Siesta and La Torreta, and urbanisations such as Doña Inés sit within El Salado.

Garden and solarium bungalows

What you see most in El Salado are complexes of bungalows of two kinds: ground-floor ones with a garden and upper-floor ones with a solarium, nearly always with a communal pool. There are also townhouses and some more recent developments in the same style. It is a quiet area, with supermarkets and shopping centres relatively close, where year-round residents live alongside owners who come for part of the year.

Solarium and terrace doors

On the upper bungalow, the door out to the solarium is usually aluminium and takes the sun all day. Over the years, the catch stops lining up or the handle comes loose. And if it shuts with you outside, it has to be opened. We carry out aluminium and uPVC door opening and we also change the lock when it is beyond repair.

Shutters on the lower bungalow

The ground-floor bungalow faces the garden and the community walkway. For when the house is left empty, shutter reinforcement stops anyone lifting or bending the shutter: a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts at each end that lock into the wall.
