Locksmith in Villa Amalia (Torrevieja)

Villa Amalia is a residential sector in the south of the Torrevieja municipality, about two and a half kilometres from the centre, in the La Veleta area and a short distance from the sea. It appears in the municipal plan as a sector in its own right and has been built over recent years in phases and plots, with recent new-build developments.

New-build bungalows

What is advertised in Villa Amalia is mostly new ground-floor and upper-floor bungalows, with a communal pool and solarium, on gated complexes. Beyond that, as it is such a recent area, we do not yet have reliable information about what life is like there.

What we are asked for in a new area

Your own cylinder when you get the keys

It is the first thing we recommend in any new build. The keys you are handed have been through the builder, the trades who finished the work and the sales agent who showed the houses. Fitting your own cylinder on the day you move in gives you the security of knowing only you can open it. We explain it under moving or buying a home, and if you want more protection choose high-security cylinders.

Solarium and terrace doors

On the upper bungalows, the door out to the solarium is usually aluminium or uPVC. In a new build it is normal for the catch to start rubbing as the home settles. It can be adjusted or the lock changed without touching the door.

Ground-floor shutters

On the lower bungalows, especially if the house is left empty for long spells, we reinforce shutters so they cannot be lifted or bent: a steel T-profile under the bottom slat and bolts that lock into the wall. From a photo we can tell whether your shutter is suitable for shutter reinforcement.
