Los Frutales is on the north side of Torrevieja, about two and a half kilometres from the centre, in the strip that runs from the old town towards Cabo Cervera and Torre del Moro. It borders La Rosaleda, and property portals often advertise them together. It is a quiet area, with local shops nearby and Playa de los Locos a short drive away.
A district with a bit of everything
In Los Frutales there are flats in buildings of several storeys, bungalows on urbanisations with pools, townhouses and the odd villa with a plot. Many people live here all year round, because it is close to everything without being in the bustle of the centre, and others use it as a holiday home.
That variety means there is no single typical job. It depends a lot on whether the home is a flat with a shared entrance or a house with a garden.
What we are asked for in Los Frutales
In flats: the front door
In buildings with a shared entrance, what matters most is your own front door. Many still have the cylinder the builder fitted, easy to open with techniques that are well known today. Replacing it with one of our high-security cylinders with anti-bump and anti-snap protection is a small and very effective upgrade.
In houses: locks that fall short
On townhouses and villas we see doors with just a single latch lock or with old locks that no longer close properly. There it is usually worth a lock change to one with several locking points, or reinforcing the existing one.
When the key breaks or will not turn
It is a classic call-out in any district: the key snaps inside or the cylinder jams. If it happens to you, do not force it any further. We remove the broken piece with specialist tools and, if the cylinder is damaged, we replace it there and then.
How we work
A fixed quote before we start, ideally if you send us a photo on WhatsApp. If the job turns out to be different when we arrive, we tell you and we do not carry on without your agreement. And before opening any door we check that you have the right to get in.
