Locksmith in Las Maravillas (Torrevieja)

Las Maravillas is in La Mata, at the northern tip of the Torrevieja municipality. According to the Town Hall’s records, it is the first phase of an old plan called Nueva Playa de Torrevieja, approved in 1964, with plots that reach the avenida de los Europeos and the seafront promenade. There are also two enclaves with the same name further towards the N-332 road, one of them still awaiting development.

The Las Maravillas plan set out two kinds of zone: one with buildings of up to four storeys and another with single-storey houses with a semi-basement. That is why flats and low-rise homes are mixed here, a short distance from La Mata beach. As in the rest of La Mata, there are year-round residents and many houses that are only opened up for the holidays.

Locks and salt air

So close to the sea, the salty air gets into the cylinders on doors facing the street and into the gates. First the key goes in stiffly, then you have to jiggle it to make it turn and in the end it will not open. Do not wait for that day: timely lock maintenance or a cylinder change saves you the emergency.

Keys inside in summer

Rushing to and from the beach brings the usual: a door slammed shut with the keys on the table. We open without damage when the lock allows it. You will find it under door opening in Torrevieja.

Low-rise houses closed up out of season
